OOOOoohhh LLaaa LLLLLAAAaaa!!!

February 14 has special meaning around this house...

Two years ago on the infamous "day of love" Nicholas and I started "going steady" hehe.

365 days later, Nicholas decided that we needed a few more years together... well actually forever together, and he proposed.

What does Valentines day bring us this year....

Well lots more "cheesy" romance of course.... What else?

I woke up to the beautiful sound of sizzling bacon. Which tasted o so great cooked by my ever so "cheesy", most amazing Valentine. Yes friends... that is a heart made out of bacon! Go ahead and say it... "he's good"! Not to mention the Chocolate chip, heart shaped pancakes he made. It was even all his idea. He is just SOooo cute!

Nicholas suprised me with a beautiful bouquet of flowers and a HUGE Valentines day balloon. Which you can see behind us in the picture above. He is the best Valentine ever!
I suprised Nicholas with the chair you see below. You might be asking where is the romance in that? Well the poor boy sits in the office all evening studying and has nothing for his cute little toosh (sp?) to sit on (at least sit on comfortably) so i decided to get him a nice desk chair that he has really been wanting

The not so lovely chair that he had to sit on for hours at a time. Poor guy puts a pillow to keep his cute little behind comfy! hehe... He loved the upgrade!

What a great "Day of Love"!

What Wii Do...

Just a little update...

As Nick and I ponder on where the time has gone, and why we didnt get any studying done this weekend, or seem to never get any studying done on most weekends, it can be attributed to a few things...
1. Our love of our weekends to be stress free (really we always have school in the back of our mind)

2. How the world turns faster beginning Friday evening at 5:00 and lasting until Sunday evening around 10:00pm
3. Our need to play games... yes the games that tend to last and when they are through we just start a different game. One of our favorites... the Wii. I mean who wouldnt want to spend their precious valuable time hitting a pretend punching bag for 30 seconds trying to see how many bags you can destroy. I mean come on... we are attempting to "become grown-ups"... we are not quite there yet.

Why OKLAHOMA?

This season started off great... looked promising I should say. All to end in disappointment!!
My beloved OSU got beat by a bunch of Ducks... (ducks in cool uniforms... but still ducks).

What about that Good ol' OKlahoma... everyone thought this was the year for them! I must admit I'm no OU fan... but for the sake of our STATE and the BIG 12, I was rooting for them like crazy! They rolled over the second half to a bunch of Gators... and their bowl game curse continues for another year!

Football was sure fun this season... with the exception of the second halves of our bowl games!
Oh well... they still did great! I'll be waiting to see what next year brings for those POKES... and i suppose those Sooners too!

Oh my... so i havent posted anything since October! I believe it stems from my lack of creativity and lack of pictures...( i just dont like posting anything without some pics). However so much has happened recently... (well since october i should say).
1. Thanksgiving....a joyous occassion filled with food, family, games, and did i mention tons of food! We traveled to Arizona to visit family and spend time with them for the holiday. Not to mention the kids were swimming on Thanksgiving (holy moly!). It was a lot of fun.
2. The semester comes to a close with a little bit of discouragement. I ended up with a
94%---- A
92% -----B
92%-------B
Due to Nursing school having a higher grading criteria with an A beginning at 93% i only was able to pull of one... A that is. Oh well... better luck next time.
3. Christmas... has come and gone! I really should post some pics of that...eventually of course. What started out to be some family fun ended up being a little mini hospital in Ponca City. While Santa was out on the rooftops 5 people in the Harrison household were becoming aquainted with the toilet... tag teaming i should say at about 4 in the morning.. which lasted all christmas! Needless to say i was taking care of my sick little hubby all Christmas! Our first Christmas will definitely be one to laugh about for years to come!

Look at those pumpkins!!!

In an attempt to get into the Halloween spirit this year... we went over to some friends house to carve some pumpkins!!!! What we thought would be a quick little pumpkin carving session actually turned into 3 hours of art! They turned out so great!!! Well actually everyone but mine....my little skull has an oversized mandible that seems to be off centered!!! It sure was fun!

Nursing school WhAt???

Just thought i would post a little update!! Last week i felt like i was in my own little world trying to study as much as possible!! Last week in Institute we discussed the sabbath day and what it entailed (sp?). Our institute teacher challenged us to try and keep it about the Lord and not study so...Nick and i have made some family goals to work hard on all the days of the week except Sunday! What a blessing! This past week it was harder than ever, because i really could have used an extra day to study... but alas, we held strong and waited until monday morning! I took my test on Monday afternoon and felt pretty confident. Come to find out i made the only 100 in the class! Woo hoo and on tuesday i had another test in which i made a 95... i couldnt be happier! Or more confident in the blessings of keeping the sabbath day holy! I was so nervous about my tests... if i get lower than a 80% on them we risk getting kicked out of the program! So i was seriously stressin... (first tests of the semester are always rough). But now im stress free, at least for a few days. So now... im off to go camping with the Garretts and my most handsome hubby!!! We will post pictures later!

Sylvia

Well due to my chain of unfortunate events with snowball, Nick and I have now made our first BIG purchase together!!! Drum roll please.....

Last weekend we were able to find a pretty descent deal on a 08' Nissan Sentra. After way too much car shopping and a lot of research we decided that this was the car for us. Snowball will most definitely be missed, but we chose a great new car nonetheless.

Due to how much i loved my old car... ive decided to mention a few of my favorite memories about it. A little tribute to Snowball!

1. Before i turned 16 i would sneak out of the house to go and drive it around my neighborhood to practice (cheesy i know)

2. i felt like it was my own little racecar

3. learning how to drive a standard

4. Teaching Nick how to drive a standard ( and watching how embarassed he would get when he killed it)

5. The irony of how so many people liked to jump on the hood of my car! Hopefully we can avoid it with the new car.

6. How it held up so well in my accident!!! Snowball definitely kept me safe!

And a new introduction of our new car! Nick is already getting onto me for leaving things in it... he is Mr. Particular about how clean we keep it. After the first day he already wanted to take it and wash/vacuum it out. He is so cute... this is definitely his new "baby".

Nick and i have a habit of naming things... due to our new car being silver we decided on Sylvia.
